Alastair Marsh stepped down as Group Chief Executive Officer of Lloyd’s Register Group (LR) on 31 December 2020 with a view to taking on some non-executive and advisory roles.
He joined LR in 2007 and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in April 2008 and joined the Board. He was appointed as CEO in October 2015.
During his tenure as CEO, Alastair led the Group through a modernisation and transformation strategy founded on significant investment in systems and processes, together with a customer and innovation focused culture change programme. LR is well positioned for future growth as a leading, global professional services company supporting clients in critical infrastructure sectors.
Alastair is a qualified Chartered Accountant and prior to joining LR, worked for Price Waterhouse before holding a number of senior financial management positions within the high-tech manufacturing, chemicals, software and ICT sectors.
He is also a Trustee of the Royal Museums Greenwich, where he chairs the Audit and Risk Committee.
