Loss of connectivity on an autonomous ship

The UK Government has promoted an ambitious agenda for maritime autonomous and remotely operated ships, as set out in Maritime 2050 and the Technology and Innovation in UK Maritime (TIUK) route-map. Maritime 2050 outlines the possibilities for how smart shipping and autonomy could make the maritime sector a cleaner, safer and a more efficient place to work, and how this can be achieved through working collaboratively with industry to encourage a culture of innovation.
