1610: Speaker 1 – Ahmer Saeed
Topic: Potential pathways for shipping decarbonization
Ahmer Saeed is Project Manager who has around 30 years’ experience of ship operations, ship management, ship quality assurance, ship design review, assurance, construction, and project management; out of this over 20 years working with liquefied gases, predominantly LNG and later LH2. He has been the project Manager for the first LH2 carrier and been involved in development of various industry standards and takes an active role in industry bodies like OCIMF. Currently he is working on Carbon capture and storage projects providing LCO2 shipping solutions.

Topic: IMO’S strategy on reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from ships: Targets and Key Milestones
Saleem Ahmed is a Chartered Engineer with experience of managing FLNG, Shipbuilding, ship repairs/conversion projects with expertise in studying/developing ship’s propulsion systems using future fuels/new technologies such as LNG, Carbon Capture and Storage, H2 Fuel Cells, Batteries, and Electric Propulsion.
