A two-and-a-half-hour trip on the Thames, home to one of the UK’s largest ports and busiest inland waterway. Hosted by the Port of London Authority (PLA), this rarely offered trip is an essential part of London International Shipping Week.
The chartered Thames Clipper passenger boat will depart Tower Pier for a return trip downriver to the heart of the modern port. Along the way you’ll see historic Greenwich, the Thames Barrier, Tate & Lyle’s sugar refinery, Ford at Dagenham, the CldN ro-ro terminal at Purfleet, the Port of Tilbury, and London Gateway Port.
You will also hear from major river users and terminal operators and about Thames Vision – the development framework for the river, which is targeting the port becoming the biggest it has ever been.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To reserve your seat, please email Samantha Broome on firstname.lastname@example.org.
