After my son Oscar’s third birthday, he was referred to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) where his future would change forever. He was diagnosed with leukaemia.
He had 5 brain haemorrhages and 3 bone marrow transplants. But just as everyone began to lose hope, Oscar started to get better. He only survived thanks to pioneering research carried out at GOSH, funded by our amazing supporters like you. Oscar is now 20.
On Friday, as the finale of London International Shipping Week, Spinnaker is hosting the 6th annual OSCAR Campaign Dragon Boat Race and I’m asking for your help.
What does the Dragon Boat Race raise money for?
The money raised supports bone marrow and cellular research at GOSH. This is ground-breaking ‘bench to bedside’ research that is saving the lives of children who could not have hoped for a cure even a few years ago. The OSCAR Campaign has already raised £1.85m and we hope to increase that to £2m this week!
How can you help?
We would be so grateful if you could donate to our JustGiving page. Please give generously at: https://www.justgiving.com/companyteams/OSCARDragonBoatRace2019
Thanks so much.
