Graham leads the Maritime Directorate Promotions and Partnerships team which works on two main areas – Stakeholder Engagement and Briefing and Correspondence. His role is Key in proactively shaping stakeholder engagement seeking out opportunities to advance the Maritime agenda and co-ordinate Ministers and senior officials’ engagement within the sector. Promoting the UK maritime sector through cross-government, global (Global Maritime Forum and London International Shipping Week) and other national events, the team provide a quality service for both the Maritime Directorate and Ministers through the delivery of briefing, event and invitation advice, speech and correspondence co-ordination, ensuring that output is of a high quality and delivered on time.
Graham started his civil service career in 1983 at the Property Services Agency and has worked in a number of Government Departments including ,The Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem), Cabinet Office, Number Ten, Food Standards Agency and has returned (November 2016) to the DfT for a second time. For the majority of his civil service career Graham has specialised in communication and Parliamentary business.
