Hong joined the Maritime Promotion and Partnerships team at the Department for Transport (DfT) in 2017, supporting the delivery of a number of high profile events for the Maritime Directorate, including London International Shipping Week.

Hong joined the Civil Service in 2006 taking on various policy roles at the DVLA and DfT. In 2015, she served as Diary Manager and Assistant Private Secretary to Robert Goodwill MP and to the Rt Hon John Hayes CBE MP, Minister of State for Transport.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Events Management and Tourism Studies from London Metropolitan University.
