Toshinobu Shinoda is a Senior Managing Executive Officer of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) and is responsible for Europe and Africa Area as a Managing Director of MOL (Europe Africa) Ltd. which is located at London.

He joined MOL in April 1985 and started his career in the Containership Division. He engaged in Bulk carrier business as a manager of the Bulk Carrier Division from 2000 to 2005, and as a General Manager of the Bulk Carrier Division in Mitsui O.S.K. Bulk Shipping (Europe) Ltd from 2005 to 2008.

In June 2008, He returned to MOL Tokyo headquarters to take the role of Head of Ship Finance in the Finance Division. He moved up to Assistant General Manager of the Finance Division in June 2013, and was assigned as General Manager of the Division in June 2015.

He was appointed as Executive Officer of MOL responsible for the Finance division in April 2017, and responsible for the Corporate Planning Division in April 2018. In April 2020, he became Managing Executive Officer, and new responsibility i.e. Chief Communication Officer was also added. In April 2021, he returned to the Bulk carrier business. In 2022, he was newly appointed as Senior Managing Executive Officer of MOL and took a position of Director General, Headquarters of Dry Bulk Business.

He graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Keio University in March 1985.
