With just nine weeks remaining before the start of London International Shipping Week, Norton Rose Fulbright hosted a top level briefing session for Supporting Organisations and Sponsors.
Guests included attendees from a cross section of the shipping industry including Associated British Ports, ICS, Ince & Co and the Indian Register of Shipping. They received important updates about the week, in addition to expert advice on how to promote their event, from Lord Mountevans, Chairman of the LISW Board of Advisors and Sean Moloney, Director of Shipping Innovation. Sponsors were encouraged to take full advantage of the support available from LISW19.
Sponsors and Supporting Organisations were reminded that teams of photographers and a video crew will be recording throughout the week so additional exposure will be available for those organisations running their own events.
New for 2019, Slido will be accessible via the LISW19 app. This opens up numerous opportunities for conducting real-time polls and allowing basic data capture about the participants which will be invaluable for future planning.
Through an eNewsletter to be issued every morning before the first session of the day, there is every prospect of getting announcements and news out to a wide and global audience. What’s more, as always, there will be a regular Twitter feed to maximise the global reach of LISW19.
LISW19 will operate under the overarching theme of International Trade in a Changing World with a sub theme allocated to each day of the event. These sub themes – Growing – Innovating –Partnering – will form a focus for the news stories released so attendees were encouraged to consider carefully the best day to make any new pronouncements.
For the Supporting Organisations and Sponsors, the briefing session brought LISW19 into sharp focus and gave helpful guidance on how to get the most possible out of this major shipping event.
