Industry congregation head to St Paul’s Cathedral for the party of London International Shipping Week 2015.
LLOYD’S List was joined by 300 of the shipping industry’s leading figures Monday night at St Paul’s Cathedral in London to celebrate its recently announced global expansion and the launch of its new monthly magazine, The Intelligence.
Editor Richard Meade welcomed guests at the iconic London Cathedral on the opening night of London International Shipping Week, announcing further details of Lloyd’s List’s plans to enhance its coverage of the global shipping markets.
“Good journalism can not only survive, but thrive in the digital age and our investment in Lloyd’s List represents a clear commitment to quality journalism that matters,” Meade told the audience.
The appointment of new journalists and analysts in key maritime centres across Asia, US and Europe has expanded the Lloyd’s List editorial team by over 40% while the recent addition of the Maritime-Insight business has added industry-leading forecasting tools that will enable Lloyd’s List to deliver ever-more sophisticated, data-led interpretation of the shipping markets.
The strategic investment by owners Informa Plc across Lloyd’s List and Lloyd’s List Intelligence will deliver an unrivalled scope and quality of insight into the opportunities and threats developing in the global shipping markets, Meade explained.
The party also saw the formal launch of Lloyd’s List’s new magazine, The Intelligence.
“The content in The Intelligence should be considered required reading for any shipping professional who wants to stay ahead of the market” said Meade.
The Intelligence will have the highest circulation in the sector and offers a unique monthly perspective on the business of shipping through data-led analysis and forward looking features that identify key trends and developments.
Meade also used the opportunity to add Lloyd’s List’s support for London International Shipping Week as a commitment to the future of shipping.
