Sailors’ Society

Sailors’ Society is an international maritime welfare charity, committed to transforming the lives of seafarers and their families in port, at sea and at home, through chaplaincy, education and relief of poverty and distress.

The Seafarers’ Charity

The Seafarers’ Charity (formerly Seafarers UK) makes a life-changing impact in troubled times. Our grants to organisations support those who work – or have worked – at sea, and their families.Proactive and forward-looking, we also seek ways to prevent issues becoming problems. Through funding collaboration, research and advocacy, we tackle the root causes of seafarer hardship and disadvantage in the UK and around the world.

Stella Maris

Stella Maris is the largest ship-visiting charity in the world. It is a global network of over 1,000 chaplains and volunteers in 326 ports spread across 60 countries. Each year this remarkable team conducts around 70,000 ship visits to provide welfare services, advice, friendship, practical and pastoral care to all seafarers, regardless of nationality, belief or race. Stella Maris provides a friendly face in a foreign land, someone the seafarer can trust, speak to and confide in.
