How does it work?
LISW is a cluster event. This means that rather than being centred around an exhibition hall, the organisations supporting LISW run their own events. These events are many and varied, and include seminars, cocktail receptions, conferences and product launches. They are run by international organisations and marine trade associations from all sectors of the shipping industry, and the week is actively supported by the UK Government. Highlights of the week include the official LISW Headline Conference and the LISW Gala Dinner.
Who will be there?
The world comes to London during London International Shipping Week, providing unique networking opportunities for the shipping community. Leaders across all sectors of the international and UK shipping industry, maritime lawyers, brokers, shipowners, shipmanagers, insurers, charities – all come to London – and ensure that LISW is an event like no other.
Where does it take place?
More than 200 individual events will be run in venues across the heart of London. Many take place in the city itself, others make use of the iconic buildings London has to offer, like the IMO building and the Maritime Museum, Greenwich.
What does it cost?
All LISW events are free, apart from the official LISW Headline Conference and the Gala Dinner.
What about COVID?
The world is opening up again, and LISW will be the first major face to face event in the shipping calendar since the pandemic began. Individual event organisers will be following all government guidelines, all with an emphasis on putting face to face contact back on the agenda.
